Tokarev TT33 Pistol recoil level

How does the recoil level of the Tokarev TT33 Pistol
compare to 9mm?

I wouldn't say it recoils a heck of a lot more, but noticeable yes. They throw a lighter bullet at a faster speed than 9mm so the recoil (to me,subjective) is punchy or snappy. And lots of bark.

Comparable to a .40 S&W as it is snappier, but not necessarily heavy recoiling.

Not bad at all.

Similar, but a bit snappier, if that makes sense. If you are comfortable with full power 9mm, the Tok will be comfortable, too.

Shoot bigger calibers and everything feels like a .22 afterwards.

Closer to 40S&W than 9mm. In a small frame gun with a really crappy trigger it's going to get your attention the first time. There after U know what to expect.

It has a lot of snap but not a lot of push. I never shot a 9mm Tok so hard to compare for me, but 7.62x25 is way snappier than 9mm. I'd say close to .357sig.

I always found the biggest jolt was from the noise. Recoil was trivial. But it's been a couple of years since I got rid of mine so my memory might be off.

I really liked the round -- but hated the gun. Hey, Norinco, how about exporting that nice Type 80 redesign of a Mauser C96 Broomhandle?
