Tokarev TT33

I have a Tokarev TT-33 Russian made in 1947. I have a problem, the magazine can only hold seven round and not eight. The spring is very tight, but it feels as if something is there blocking it. Any ideas?

Probably a good place to start. Maybe a chunk of crud? Was the magazine still in cosmoline when you got it?

Could be the witness holes binding it up,a dent, a crappy follower, a wad of cosmoline, etc

Got it figured out, I put the spring in the wrong way when I first bought it lol.
