Why is it so impossible to find upgrades for a Tokarev?
So many people have them and we all know some people will upgrade anything.
Threaded barrel, sights, grips, etc.
I've found a few options in the States but nothing in Canada.
Negative Nancy's need not reply.

I've been trying to find a way to get some Tokarev upgrades across the border. The gun Warehouse offers some cool stuff like better baseplates and compensators but won't ship to Canada.

ebay and amazon has a some grips, holsters and sights that will ship to Canada. Yes they are expensive but that is just a sad fact in Canada

I have found a tokarev compensator that will ship to Canada before but can't remember where I found it

Tokarev is not 1911. It is not the same class of firearm. It came to be prolific due to numbers made and ammo it used. Modifying tt33 is like putting lipstick on the pig. Keep it pure and the way it came from factory and learn to shoot it the way its recommended in the manual. Its all in the grip. No modification needed in order to shoot tokarev accurately.

I have several and would like to make some of them up a little different. I don't think anyone is complaining about lack of accuracy.

You mean a Tok is not a 1911, so glad you clarified that for us, even though noone asked. And thanks for telling us how to shoot it and how to keep it, which also wasn't asked. Your helpful!

On that note I'd love to see some parts and accessories come in. I have a Russian, a Polish, and a Chinese. The Chinese is begging to get modded. I'm thinking grip, sights, mag release, and a nice blue cerakote or something.

For anyone interested in a beavertail grip, marshcal grips says they can do one custom no problem. I am working out the details with them now. Bye bye hammer bite.

I quite liked the M213's I had. But I sold them in time because I enjoy using my handguns for the local competition matches. And the lack of a proper safety pretty much ruined it for me to much. I actually used one of them for an IDPA practice evening where we set up a couple of stages to practice. The safety issue required me to lower the hammer to holster and #### the hammer during the draw. So while fun and somewhat entertaining it was not really a great option.

To make it into a good two handed gun it also really needs the somewhat extended grips and added on bumpers for the mags to give the shooters with larger hands something to hold onto. And there again for a lot of the matches I enjoy that sort of mod was not allowed.

Of course for fun shooting this sort of stuff isn't a big deal. Mod away! ! !

Machman, the black molded grips look like a nice option. I followed the links and don't see any mention of that picture. Where did you get them?

Sorry to report that I bought that grip off the EE a couple of years ago, and I've never seen one for sale since. The only marking on it reads "Combat" on one side. It does recess the mag release button though, making it unreachable for a one handed mag drop, thus necessitating the extended mag release button a buddy fabbed for me. I'll ask him how he accomplished that mod and get back to you all.
