It's more of a wall hangar than a useful tool. Might prove useful during the Bon Soo carnival if you can get a gig as a pirate or a lumbersexual:redface:.

Really, I would not chop wood with that and expect the gun to stay intact.

I would only be restricted if it was under 26 OAL... its not a semi... so it can be as short a barrel is it wants.

I think a modern version would be cool... double barrel 12 gauge with a less aggressive axe on the front. Something like the tomahawk for light duty... or... what about a saw blade the whole way down the barrel. Then it would be super multi purpose. And, if you couldn't cut through the tree you could just blast it in two.

I was kidding about the restricted comment....kinda... Flintlock with a trigger lock?.... Only in Canada!..... gotta stay flintlock tho man...how else you gonna light the fire once you've split the kindling?:)

You're right about the pirate part and it isn't meant to chop wood...

It's a boarding axe.

Here's am image of an original Spanish one:

I'd rather see it the other way around on a take-down gun. So the top of the axe head becomes the butt stock. The take-down would allow you to use the butt stock as a hatchet without harming the barrel, sights, etc.

That I'd buy.
