I have a Tikka T3 Lite in .223,1:8 twist and was shooting Remington 55gr. UMC and couldn't get it to shoot worth a darn. Three to four moa. Could too much copper fouling cause this or could it be the rifle just doesn't like it? American Eagle 55gr. did a 1.375" and 1.327" at 100 yards but that was a couple weeks ago.

It could very well be a combination of both, how many rounds since cleaning? I would try a good copper remover and get the barrel really clean fire 5 rounds of your AE to foul the barrel a bit, then try 5 of the Remg. see how each one groups, switch back to AE 5 shots then Remg. 5 shots. Use different targets so you can see the difference.

I have about 200 rounds of Remington UMC 55gr. left so I will give er a good copper cleaning and try again. I have some Superformance 75gr. coming.
Thanks for the feed back
