Too much snow too early!

It should melt down a bit since it is so early. I hope.

Last winter in that same country the snow was waist deep in February, the winter prior had very little snow.

any hunters in bc heading north right now better be on the ball with the winter driving skills and leave your trailer at home unless you are running studded tires on every rim of your rig and trailer. Drove down from Bland's place in smithers yesterday and from mcleese lake to 100 mile we saw multiple hunting rigs and other vehicles off the road in wipe outs. One hill alone coming out of 150 mile had 2 hunting rigs that we saw back in PG , rolled over down the embankment some 30 yards from the road. Crazy road conditions the black ice is some of the worst i've seen.
we got a 6inch dump over night...... probably 10 inches overall and we hit -15 last night here on the hill above horse lake.
gonna go see about a mule deer buck this evening, should be excellent conditions ;)

Myself, my BIL and my nephew were hunting south of PG on the weekend.
We had about 6" of snow, and Friday night it went down to -20ºC.
Got the moose moving though....my nephew shot a nice 3 YO bull yesterday.
I never got to see a 2 pointer, but that's hunting. :) Did see a very nice dry
cow who acted like she knew I could not shoot her...not spooky at all. Dave.

South eastern Alberta and south western Saskatchewan had heavy snow and drifting a week ago. Accessing any remote area is tough without a skidoo. Hard on the deer and antelope as well. Ranchers are feeding cows already.
