Took my Dad and his "new" SKS out today!

A while back I bought a second Russian SKS so my dad and I can go to the range and blast away together.

I have a '52, but it's not the cleanest example? Shoot great, but looks a little tough. I bought my dad a '56. It super clean.

We got it out today for the first time.

He had a huge grin on his face the whole time we were shooting.

They are so much fun.

I just wanted to share this with people that would get it, and appreciate it.
 
My dad is far to old to do this type of activity. Honestly, even if he was younger, I don't think he would be into it either..... It's to bad as I think if he (and many others) were to try it, they would love it like your dad does! Thanks for sharing.

My dad is the one who taught me to shoot as a kid.

Red Ryder BB Gun, then air rifle.

I got into guns about a year and a half ago and the two of us have been enjoying going out shooting again.
 
I just got back from Europe, was out there with my dad hunting wild boar.....we had a great time, and I look forward to it each and everytime I get out there, it's always good times, even if we don't get anything......but that has yet to happen....

My Dad is not a fan of guns, so I haven't been out shooting with him yet. But I have been with my mom and stepdad and they both liked it alot. My mom liked the .22 more than the shotgun(a little to much recoil for her) but she still tried it. They both keep asking me when I'm gonna take them to the range to shoot my handgun.
