Took my first step into bowhunting!

So this year our moose hunting group decided to drop rifle hunting and to take up archery hunting. So after working some OT I finally bought my first bow. Just thought I'd share my joy of getting a new piece of kit.

I love bowhunting as much today as I did when I took my first black bear with a homemade yew self-bow, 40 years ago... I have taken more than 200 big game animals since then with archery gear, and my heart still hammers every time... so many great animals and cool moments in the wilderness with a bow in my hand... many of these moments would never have happened had I been rifle hunting.

Well you spent enough cash, you're committed now. Heck of a first bow. It's addicting that's for sure. I still hunt with a rifle but definitely get more enjoyment from archery.
