I used Kylon Camo OD green, and brown and Make it Sueade Green.

I pritty much just cleaned the oil off the action/stock etc, then did a base coat, then added some more paint, then added the stripes.

Well I think you did a good job with it. Looks great. What scope do you have on your 200?

I have one in 25-06 and its my first rifle. Its a joy to shoot with very mild recoil and I added a Limb Saver de- resonator to the barrel and my shots were touching as well. Used it 10 days ago and got my first 2 mulies ever, both shots over 200 yards with nosler partitions 115gr, instant death. FS

I was looking at one in 300wm, be a nice project gun, replace the barrel with a aftermarket 300wm, stock etc. 319 is a awsome deal just for a new action.

I believe they're still on sale at S.I.R for 299$.

These rifles are the best deal on the planet right now! I recently purchased a 7mm Mag and absolutely love it. First day out to the range and it shot .5 groups @ 100 yds. On many three shot groups two of three bullet holes touched. It's topped with a Leupold Vari-X2 3x9x40.

Tommorow after my hunt I am definately ordering another in the .243 and going to camo it completely including the scope and bi-pod. For 299$, and the proven performace, how on Earth can you go wrong??

My 2 cents

p.s. for instructions on how to camo your rifle check out camojacks website. http://www.jhendrick.com/hunt.html

I won't instlal a recoil pad on my .223, or the 30-06. I dont' evne feel the .223, that is for sure.

The 30-06 can't be all that bad...I'll let you now when it arrives!;)

savage

I have a 200 in .223 and I was very surprised just how accurate they are I am so impressed I think that I am going to get one in .243 or 22-250 or what the hell May both :) the only bad thing I have to say about the is I hate the stock I am just waiting for boyds to bring out a after market stock and through the action in a varmint thumb hole or Ross thumb hole or maby the ria sportsman anyone hear of aftermarket stocks for them yet?

A Savage rifle is definitely on my short list. It's too bad there's no 338 w.m. in the Stevens model.:(
Have to go to the Hunter series for that. Still a very reasonable price though. Wholesale has them listed for $540.00 with a detachable mag.
Can't wait.

I am pretty sure they recycle hockey pucks for those recoil pads... I think the 30cals and up would be quite "friendly" with one of them door stoppers.
Just an observation from a lightweight....
