Well...just as the title says, I took my Glock 17 out to 100m. Well, it was mounted inside a KPOS pistol carbine conversion. I was happily hitting the gong at 100m almost 100%. The results on paper are below. Pretty good for the distance. That KPOS is really, really fun to shoot! In fact, I have never shot as much in one session from a pistol as I did today. 330 rounds! Boy, does it need to be cleaned! Here's some pics when I got home.

You can see just how dirty it got after that many rounds. Surprisingly, the barrel is not badly carboned up. But lots of soot on the slide and the KPOS.

I would recommend this to anyone. I had a lot of people come up to me and ask what it was. A couple of people even wanted to know where I got it (thanks Wolverine!).

So, now to clean her up, reassemble, and tomorrow, out again to have some more fun.

Yeah I like the KPOS. We normally try and push the 40 cal Glock 34 out to the max 185 Y range. Only thing I wished about the KPOS was the charging handle was forward more.

Yeah the front end gets pretty dirty.

I was wondering about taking it out further. A long shot, but does anyone know what the drop is on a 9mm 124gr out to 200m?

Maybe I'll just rainbow it...

Sure is a fun set-up!

I know the 40cal, wasn't super much. Dot of the factory sights above the target.

Hornady has a ballistics calculator on its website. As long as you have velocity bullet weight/diameter and ballistic coefficient you should be good to go (And these things are typically available on the ammo box and the manufacturers websites)

I'll try that, thanks. Sounds like a fun challenge next weekend.

And...I'm not sure why lanis can't see the pics. Mobile user...?

I am on the laptop, and now that I got back to this thread, pictures are visible to me.

Must of been some kind of computer glitch.

Cheers,
Dan
