top load mod for load gate lever?

I love the marlin 1894 lever but my fingers have a hard time with the load gate
Is there a top load mod for tube mags? I really really like the one that has a fair bit of a handle and needs to be twisted sideways to open- like Lincoln's repeater in Fallout 3

Have you tried using the next cartridge that you are loading in the mag to help push the previous one fully in to save your fingers?

Yeah, don't put the round completely in when loading. Leave the base protruding from the gate and push the next round in to the same position by pushing the first round ahead with the nose of the next cartridge. Much easier. Top load is not workable on a 94 Marlin or any of the other side loaders that I know of.
