Today went to pop some stuff with my sks, after a few round of chec amo, one round went of but only the bottom half of the spent casing came ejected and the other half still stuck in the chamber. Could not push it out of with the cleaning rod becuase it is very flush inside the chamber, what can I to. I tried pulling it out with a hook wire. Nothing seemed to work yet. Any tip will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

If you have an old jag you can butcher a bit, try this: split the jag end in two with a fine-toothed hacksaw and just spread the ends apart a bit more than the bore diameter.
Push a cleaning rod through the barrel from the muzzle towards the chamber. Thread the modified jag onto the rod and pull it slowly inside. You'll hear the tips of the jag click when they get past the ruptured shell neck. Give the rod a good sharp tap on the handle and the shell will pop off.
Good luck!

Perverpepereman! Thanks, that's a good trick. I didnt get to try this one. But I treid everythign . The casing seemd to be really stucked in there. Anyway, the goodthing was that I was on my way passing Lever and bought the sks extractor. It worked amazing. It cost 18 bucks, Boooo! But works great. Thanks Hitzy!

Cheeko, I'm glad you did the right thing. In a pinch, I would resort to my trick but I'd vastly prefer to have the right tool at hand. :D
Check your chamber to see if it could be in need of a little polishing. Sometimes, a rough or dirty chamber can make a case stick just enough to cause torn rims or a ruptured neck. If your rifle is brand new, did you clean ALL the cosmo out of your rifle prior to going to the range?
Does anybody know what kind of lacquer is used on the Czech rounds? maybe this round was chambered hot and sat just long enough in the chamber to cause the lacquer to stick before firing? Maybe swabbing the chamber with an acetone-impregnated patch could bring out the gunk?
Good luck! :)

I got it out of a box, but it was cleaned. I cleaned it a bit more. I havent had the time today to do any inspection after i took that casing out, but will tonite. I am going to giive that rifle a real good clean. Yeah, acetone the chamber is a good idea, i was thinking of that. Thanks for your tips.
