Planning another build and I was looking for some first hand experiences with some actions that are considered top tier. Purpose for the rifle is long range plinking, no competing. Just looking to spend my money wisely.

Considering the following:

Lone Peak Fusion
Impact 737r
Terminus Zeus
KS Arms 3 lug

Currently running a TL3, 2 origins, and a coup de grace. Had 2 ARC nucleus and a deadline gen 2.

I love my Terminus Zeus in a switch barrel setup. Barrel changes takes a minute and POI remains consistent. Integral scope rail and recoil lug. Very beefy well made. Only gripe is an extra bolt costs $800 lol

The Zeus is what I'm really leaning towards. The KS is supposed to be an amazing action from the little I've seen about it. The price tag is definitely a consideration compared to the others on my list

Maybe not considered top tier per say, but I used a Pristine action in one of my builds and it's definitely very smooth and feels/looks very beefy. A great choice for the price in my opinion.

Pristine is definitely not on my radar. I'm glad you are happy with yours but It's an easy pass. I'm more concerned about what I listed.

What is the driver behind the selection of the 4 actions on your list?

Is it availability? Features? Available to source pre-fits from your preferred gunsmith? Other reasons?

They come up constantly about being "top tier". Truthfully I'd like a more traditional action, being a push feed with spring ejector. Not for any real reason other than just because. I know BAT makes great actions, just unsure of sourcing one up here. I don't have a preferred gunsmith, but I do like grabbing PVA barrels from gobig if the mood strikes me

You could always import an action through one of the vendors here.

Insite deals Kelbly, so you could source a Prometheus through them. Unsure of who deals BAT in Canada, if any.

The LP Fuzion is a great pushfeed action. My wife has one on her rifle, it's a great action. Perhaps my favorite pushfeed action currently available.

Tennon prints should be available for all/most of these actions, so a gunsmith can spin you up a prefit fairly easily.

How's the bolt lift effort? I'd opt for the set screw model even though I don't know how often I'd swap in the field.

The bolt lift is slightly heavier compared to a 90 degree but not something you couldn’t get used to. When I want to maintain a more stable sight picture when lifting the bolt; I keep my thumb on the backstrap of the stock to keep a more stable position. The QC (set screw) model offers you the option of running QC and full tenon barrels whereas the full tenon action won’t work with QC barrels.

out of your list, the screwed on rail and sako extractor (vs integral rail and M-16 pinned extractor) would eliminate the KS

beyond that, its just a matter of 3 lug vs 2 and who you feel best about giving your money to.

The Terminus is a 3-lug done right, i.e. not a fat bolt
