The ever humble "Jerry Can" like the frumpy brides maid but never a bride on the battle field and hardly ###y compared to the more flashy weapons to be found on the WW2 battlefield but the German designed can has a amazing story in itself. Copies smuggled out of Germany at the start of the war and shamelessly copied by the Allies to keep the armies mobile.

A "pandemic project" to make a carrier for the 1944 Wehrmacht can, sporting that removed from a Kübelwagen look in Normandy (note the bottle green/primer brown) for the early MB that never had a can holder. The trick was dreaming up a way to mount it without drill holes in the body, and make it look like something the Wehrmacht would have made back in the day, overly complex and fussy. Interesting point is the crisp 1944 stamping in the Wehrmacht can (the other one is Brit copy from 1964 I "redated" with JB Weld and a dremel) and not just the last number for the year for a year change.
