TRUE My biggest problem in hunting seasons is they don't have the stock I want. I usually like to shoot Federal, but this year they didn't have it in my caliber of choice. I had to settle for that Silver Box stuff, but it worked almost the same.

I'll be looking for VOLUME .22LR for my new plinker. I don't want any of that cheap stuff (Remington doesn't shoot well for me). I'm looking to get a box (case) or two of REALLY good .22lr for my rifle as well as my .22lr handgun.
 
I was there last night and they didn't even have a shotgun shell. They said their ammo shipment has been delayed twice, and they were getting nervous. so phone first.
 
I've learned my lesson. No way do they answer the phone on weekends. Only weekdays, and I usually get transferred to the wrong department. When I finally get to Hunting, then the phone is left forever on the counter while someone wanders off to look for what I want. Then after 20 or 30 minutes, it's hung up on me.

No, I don't phone. It's easier for me to just swing past during my lunch hour. It's less time consuming.
 
Looks like the high price of lead has finally made its way into shotshell prices.

I was lucky to get a number of flats at the old price of $42.95 plus the 10% discount at BPS today. :)

I was informed that effective immediately, the price was going up to around $56. So the 10% discount will apply to the 'new' price.
 
They have a limited quantity of UMC 223 @ 5.79 minus 10%

The new price on those will be $8.09

Hurry up guys.

And I don't believe it will go up to $8 a box.
Why would the manager sell it all at $5.
He would put a little out here and there, but keep the rest for the price change.

by telling everyone he is throwing away $3 a box profit.......

I think he is talking about .223.

The AR crowd thinks their #### will fall off (to borrow an expression form 'Hungry') if they don't go out and hoard .223 whenever/where-ever it pops up for sale.

I think the will re-stock shelves for the big weekend crowd.
Awhole lot of pissed people if they sell it all on a thursday. It would be smart to hold stock back....
