For a Pan Am class facility they run a poor website. Funny how all level of governments have thrown lots of $$$ towards T.I.T.S.Club's expansion and yet Toronto is very anti gun and any Liberal MP or MPP are also of that mindset.

I was there last Saturday. Trap only right now. As far as I know they are open every weekend to the public until they close on June 28th for the games. If you need to confirm try calling Saturday at 9 am. Enjoy!

So the gov't is funding a privately owned club for improvements for the Pan-Am games? Wonder how you get in on that kind of deal?

Tits was their 2nd choice. Oshawa Skeet and gun club ws the 1st choice, but they turned them down. Its a good thing they did IMO. Now Tits has a new legacy project handgun range, which adds one more to a very thin list.

It remains to be seen what calibers are permitted by the Ontario CFO after the games. The Pan-Am games only use .22 pistol and rifle. There is also a big indoor airgun range being built upstairs and it will probably not have a back stop suitable for anything more than a pellet gun.

Does anyone know the status/availability/cost of tickets to the Pan Am shooting events. The prices for some of the other sports are quite large. Opening ceremonies $1,000, basketball $400 etc. etc. Thanks for any info. Please respond on line or by PM Thanks.

TITS will be closed from June 28-August 8. I was told that after the Pan Am games, the rifle range will be open to precision shooting only which will feature a handgun range and .22 caliber rifle only. The rifle range will be owned and managed by On Target and will require membership to both TITS and the rifle range itself to use the facility.

This is beginning to look like a big wasted opportunity to have a great new shooting range in the GTA area. How many people are there within a reasonable distance of TITS that would be considered precision competition shooters? I only know of one woman who lives in Newmarket and competes in the games for air pistol. So after the games she may be the only precision shooter who lives close enough to TITS to use the new range. Why would she also need a TITS membership since she doesn't shoot trap or skeet?

From the beginning they have talked about this being a legacy facility for competition shooters but the range will be empty most of the time if that is all they will allow. 6.2 million in tax payer dollars invested and this is the kind of nonsense they come up with.
