When there I witnessed repeated infractions of basic safety rules including closed guns and shooting off the post, no ears and eyes and a near absence of proper muzzle control. No one at the club seemed to give a damn and God forbid you mentioned to one of the paesanos not to point his gun at your chest.

It didn't come as a surprise to me when one of their members was charged for a negligent shooting.

Yeah, the older Italians do scare me sometimes.

They did you a favour by not answering the phone. There are better clubs elsewhere. Look on The Lost Target web site. Click on Clays Ontario.

I've been to several clubs that limit barrel length, 2 main reasons:
Noise: an 18" barrel is louder than a 28". Being close to an urban centre, noise = complaints = shut down clubs
Ammo: *stereotypes exist for a reason* the people that are most likely to bring a short tactical shotgun to the range are the same ones that are most likely to bring hunting (or heavier) loads with it; when shot starts falling outside the safe area clubs get shut down.

My sister got run off a few years ago with a Beretta 391 youth / ladies gun with a 24" barrel. Hardly a tactical or home defence gun. Way to grow tg the sport.... :-/

And another necrothread to be locked.

I'm not going to allow a running one sided bash thread of a club to continue.

If someone from the club would like to respond, let me know and I'll open it up.

If you've got new issues then start a new thread.

Brad.
