Assuming price is not an issue, what would you buy and where from? Looking for an air rifle, at least .22 caliber, say 900-1100 ft/sec (just barely subsonic), oh and it must be semi-automatic.... if possible...

Almost anything FX or Air Arms. Money no object? FX impact. I've got my eye on either an FX Streamline or AA S510 Superlight Carbine.

airgunsource in Peterborough.

If you get an 1100fps what you going to practise with at home? I shoot mine upstairs in my 33 foot archery/airgun range. Have a 40lb bow and a custom 110lb Excalibur. Love going to my man cave in the morning with my coffee in my pajamas.

I have two air rifles both little under $200 each and 4 air pistols all worth $100 each. Until I can shoot better than them, I am happy as they seem to shoot better than me. . Put my money toward optics and such stuff that when I upgrade they can move along with me. CHEERS!

Perhaps two instead? A PAL rated airgun and a non PAL rated for playing?

As a cheapskate I suggest a HW80 in .177.It is the most accurate weapon I have ever owned and tends to hit anything it is pointed towards. You can pay a lot more but not get much better than these workhorses. It's over 40 years old and still shoots great.
