Hello, been looking at firearm ownership for quite sometime. Not much experience with firearms except supervised by a range officer at The Shooting Edge where I gained a healthy respect for firearms.

I'm planning to take the PAL and Restricted Firearm course soon as I save up enough money.

So far I dream of owning a HK USP .45 and a precision rifle (Possibly a DSR 1) for target shooting.
I also practice archery, currently using a Hoyt Eclipse.

Any advice for a nub gunntz is welcome.

Can't get much "newer" than me with these sites and the idiocyncrosies therein, but I am not new to the "problem." For 41 years this subject has been my passion and is not diminishing now. I foresee the end of all firearms ownership (lawful ownership, that is) for Canadians unless the three million plus firearms owners clearly understand what they must do -- and do it in time. With a coming election there is not much time left.

Patients, I am also new to the game. Ranges only take memberships every so often so I'm stuck waiting till May for a real membership. It'll be a full year between my interests in firearms being sparked and my first range membership.

Also, if you have the sudden urge to buy a firearm (and the EE does this every day it seems), don't do it unless you have the cash on hand!
