I have been to both ranges, I like the Waterford setup the best as it has skeet but lacks sporting clays and hours of operation(only open every other day and lack daytime hours. The price is better at Waterford: $110.00 plus $14.30 = $124.30 but each time you use a range you pay $3.75 extra.

Otter valley has a not so great outdoor set-up with the rifle range and trap ranges intersecting each other and now you cannot use the rifle range at all while the trap ranges are running. And they shut down practically all of the sporting clays because of the CFO. Has way better hours being 9 am to Sunset everyday. But the price is $150 outdoor or $250 indoor/outdoor plus I have to spend $200 extra for some crazy initiation fee ($100 for myself and $100 for wife on top of $150, so $350) just to become members.

Which range is more accepting of new comers and which range does not mind new comers with children?

How busy are the trap skeet nights at both ranges?

How busy does the rifle range get?

I like Otter Valley because of the youth involvement with the fishing and hunting aspect (Delta Waterfowl) but is it really worth $100 per adult for an initiation fee?
