A friend of mine mentioned that he has a couple of rifles that he is planning to sell. One of them is a baikal toz-17. It has a beautiful stock, but is missing the bolt and magazine. I found out that mossberg mags can work with some modification, but I can't find a bolt for sale anywhere. Anyone know where to find one or how much it would cost? I don't want to low-ball my friend, but i also don't want to spend more than what its worth.

Thanks

Unless you can find a bolt beforehand, I wouldn't even bother with it. It would have to be darn cheap with no bolt or mag. I found one outfit online (in the US) that had the front part of the bolt for sale (used) for $50.00 US.

Google some Polish gun shops and gun related retailers-ask them if the know just where to look for such idem.Be prepared to pay more than you expect.Use "google translator".

Most of all don't loose your cool. Some of them can be real a.holes to deal with and some can be very accommodating and helpful.

Unless you can find a junked rifle, it's going to be difficult. They weren't that common to begin with, and even if you find a bolt there's no guarantee it'll fit properly.
If he wants to throw it in as an extra, why not, but other than that it isn't worth much without the bolt.
