I finally took my 34ER out for a range session, and I LOVE it. It's fantastic for clays!

Anyway, just wondering if any owners have had barrels inspected by a gunsmith for the suitability of shooting steel? The IM barrel shouldn't be a problem, but wondering about the full choke barrel.

I'd really like to try it out on ducks, and I'm too lazy to find a gunsmith that knows enough about russian steel to tell me if it's strong enough.

Anyone get the barrels checked?

Okay, heard back from Armrus:

"You can shoot anything with russian guns - steel, lead, tungsten, etc.
This is russian guns - not american crap or italian.
And don't pay intention to the false information concerning russian gun distributed by competitors."

So, apparently shooting steel from the TOZ 34ER is okay!

I love it when I answer my own questions... :|

Funny, my gunsmith said pretty much exactly the same thing. I was a little skeptical myself at first, but when we went goose hunting and he also brought his Toz 34 and fired BBBs, it certainly put me at ease. I too love the Toz, both for the price and reliability.
