I bought my TOZ 34 around Christmas time, right before Armrus took a dirt nap. Now that a few months have gone by, I want to know what other shooters are thinking of this gun. Please respond to the poll, and comment on what you think of your gun.

I bought mine in November 2004.

Have used it for hunting many times. Bagged pheasants, partridges, ducks etc. I have fired quite a few rounds and never misfired or had a problem.

It is relatevely light to carry around in the field. Recoil is mild to moderate depending on the load used. It has a palm swell/cast and aligns perfectly for me when I shoulder it. I rarely miss when I am using this shotgun.

The design/finish around the rerceiver area is not the greatest. The blueing is not the best. But this is a hunting gun, not a wall flower. Otherwise the wood (walnut) on mine looks great. It will look even better after I refinish it.

I love mine. I don't think I will ever sell it. My 14 year old son won't let me anyways. Last fall, He shot a bird on the wing for the first time with this shotgun.

My username will indicate how much I like TOZ firearms.

Here is picture of mine (before refinishing the stock).

I agree with most of your comments Toz - execept for the recoil being light to moderate....lol....I find that this gun kicks like a mule - I've been thinking about getting a recoil pad for it - but I don't know if that would make any real difference - the former Soviet tire that they've bolted to the stock doesn't seem to be too effective.

I love mine, bought it fall of 2004.
Its my bird gun. It does have a bit of a kick to it, but I dont take it out plinking. Its a working gun through and through. The best part is it really starts to look good after some scratches and cuts, gives it character!
My only regret is I only bought 1.
Its built like a tank, my great, great, great grandkids will be cursing me because of the recoil as there hunting in some far off galaxy.

Those who felt the gun is as useful as Paul Martin...why?

I'm really not trying to flame with this post - for those of you who voted negatively in the poll, I want to know what is is specifically that you don't like about the gun. I'm pretty new to shotgunning, and I wanted more experienced shooters to give me their no-holds barred opinions on the TOZ. Please, let me know...

Killed some bunnies, shot some skeet.

Took it out for coyote twice but nothing yet. Patterened 00B and 1B nicely into some stumps.

About 500 shells through it so far, no probs at all. Shoots where it points.

Great little shotgun! Points very well, patterns quite nicely and looks decent. Recoil is not too bad (I have a single shot Baikal to compare to) and the trigger pulls are quite crisp and light. It was a hell of a deal at 292 tax paid shipped.
