Toz-78 available again in Canada

I'll restate my price comment. After going through a few .22s that didn't fit me, child sized stocks, bad triggers, etc, the TOZ turned out to be just what I wanted and I remain very pleased with it.

Whether it's worth $225 is an individual decision I suppose, but they're accurate, come with 4 mags an adjustable trigger, and tools for the trigger and front sight adjustment. These extras should be factored into price vs other .22s, and I reckon it still represents a decent value at that price.

+ I inherently like Russian firearms philosophy.

If memory serves me correctly they had a $100 sale, put the gun back up to the regular price, then they had another $100 sale and sold out. Then they tried to get more guns in but they were held up somehow, and then diverted. Then Armrus went out of business.

$225 seems close enough to the price Winchester is quoting for their 'Wildcat' (the re-branded TOZ) that I'm tempted to hold off an wait for the improved stock and easier scope mounting solution. Everything else is the same - 4 mags, adjustable trigger, etc...

Although... a bird in the hand...

I'm not sure what the scope mounting issue is with the TOZ, Burris and Weaver .22 rings fit properly on mine?

Probably faulty recollection on my part then - I was under the impression it was a non-standard sized goove and/or that the rear sight had to be removed...
