Winchester has closed its last factory in the USA. All the Winchesters are now imported to North America.

The newest Winchester which will be soon on the market is the .22 Wildcat. It is basically the Russian Toz-78 with a better looking stock and different sights.

The Toz-78 is a great gun. Those who bought it from Armrus in Montreal are happy owners.

Gotta give it to the americans to take a 30 year old (I'm assuming that the 78 means 1978), make a few "improvements", and then sell it to you for several times what it's worth (and some people want to jump up and down with joy)! And then we ##### when Norinco takes a <50> year old design, makes a few improvements, mostly to simplify it a bit, then sell it to you for HALF of what an American design costs (and we ##### and moan about how blasphemous it is for them to copy someone else's designs ...)

Well at least it will be easier for us to get TOZ 78 parts is we ever need them! I wonder if they smoothed out the bolt.....

Did you polish the bolt handle? or did it come that way?

That's the Win version, I think they are SS now. Got that pic from the Gunblast site, it's taken at the 06 shotshow.
