TOZ barrel question

Folks at rimfirecentral say that the Winchester Wildcat 22 rifle is basicly the TOZ, but distributed by Winchester in N-A.

Can anyone confirm if they are really one in the same? I'm toying with the idea of getting just a Wildcat hvy barrel and slapping it on my TOZ.

Also, has anyone tried taking the barrel off a TOZ? I didn't see any pins so I'm assuming its just threaded and screwed in?

Wildcat is a TOZ-78. Receiver has TOZ 78-6 written on it. Same script markings for calibre, date of manufacture etc. Just like the Remington Spartans, which are straight Baikal products with an additional Remington marking. Otherwise same guns.
