I'm looking to use a new set of TPS TSR scope rings with a Ken Farrel short action Remington 700 base. Mounting a MK 4 3.5-10X40mm tactical scope.
The Farrel base slots are supposed to be 1913 mil-spec correct? I heard a couple of guys saying that had issues with the slots being "tight". Any truth to this hearsay?
I couldn't find the height measurement for the short Farrel base, so I'm also wondering if I need "Low" or "Med" height TSR style rings for sufficient clearance with the 40mm Leupold and Butler Creek cover. Any help would be appreciated.
Thus far I've always used either TPS or Warne bases. This is my first Farrel.
