I'm interested in getting purpose TR rifle sling. I've been playing with my Anshutz rifle a bit but my 1 inch wide sling bites into my arm something fierce. I also plan to play with full bore a bit with my CG 63. I want to get a wider sling that I can switch between the two and be a bit less uncomfortable when shooting.
The Anshutz has an accessory rail and hand stop where the sling attaches so the length of the sling needed is variable (don't know really how to measure)
The CG 63 sling attachment point is at the front of the stock, so it is fixed. I don't have an accessory rail and at this stage I don't feel like getting one added. Correct CG 63 slings are scarce and expensive (IMO for 50 year old slings).
Where can a guy look for a proper sling? How do I measure how long a sling I need?
