Trace Optics 553 has any one tryed one? if so whats it like?

i was looking at a Trace Optics 553 as a cheaper red dot for my AR and wanted to know if any one has one or tryed one? and what did you think? Also looking at a Vortex Strikefire Red dot system what do you guys think? Dont want to break the bank.

The trace stuff may look good but the internal workings are garbage. Steer clear

Every EOTech copy that I've seen in that price range has sucked, assuming that you actually want to use it to shoot.

If you just want to take pictures of it, and show it to your friends to make your rifle look more high speed - then rock on.

Vortex strikefire is decent... but it's not an EOTech clone.

I've never seen or even heard of a good 'clone' of an EOTech.

For me i just liked the eye relief of EOTech type, but im looking for a good product at a good affordable price. does any body have any more Suggestion on a good red dot i should look at?

Vortex Sparc, Lucid HD7 would be on my list.

If you want the BEST - move up into an Aimpoint Micro T1/H1. You won't regret it.

Eye relief is unlimited with all reddots and HWS type sights.
