Good day all: Upon the recomendation of so many on the web, i sent my weaver v9II 3x9x40 ao to phil at trace for some work.
It turned out better than i could have imagined.IT'S LIKE NEW!!!
And its going to be perfect on my 1976 remington 541s.
I might just try for the 1/2" at 50 yd challange.

Thanks Phil you do awesome work.

I've sent in a couple.
No complaints.
He described the process and gave me a time limit.

Both scopes came back with the needed repairs.

One I sent to Bushnell on warranty I never got back.
This one I should of forgave the warranty and sent it to Trace.
I'd still have the goll dang thang.

+3 for me!

Sent Phil my uncle's old European scope with "fuzz" on the reticles, he repaired the dust, re-filled with Nitrogen, lubed it all up and now it's good as new! Great prices too.

Can you share a phone number or an address please. I have a set of binoculars that need fixing. Thanks! PM would be good.

It seems to me I talked to him about binoculars and he said he wouldn't work on them, just scopes, but that was a quite awhile ago. He is great on scopes though, we're lucky to have him.

I'll still give him a try, nothing ventured ... nothing gained. Thanks for the info.

Phil has repaired a number of Weavers for me , as did Harvey Trace before him . Great prices and really good work , I actually have a couple of scopes I'll be sending him once hunting season is over .

I have sent several old Weaver wide views for Phil for repairs, excellent service and work at reasonable prices. Your comment Looky about your experience with Bushnell falls in line what I have said for years. The box the Bushnell scope comes in is more useful than the scope, and the warranty is totally worthless. Owned one Bushnell scope in the early 70's scrapped it and went to Weaver, got 24 yrs of trouble free performance from the Weaver, and it seen some tough battles, then it developed issues, off it went to Trace, and it is now still in use on a 22 mag. The old steel Weaver's were excellent scopes in their day

We've only ever heard great things about Trace. Any pre-Leupold made Redfield scopes we receive are suggested to be repaired by the folks at Trace.
