Tracers

There is a fellow in Victoria that has some .308 tracers for sale on #######. He is a newbie (1 month) with no rating. Anyone know of someones uncle's friend that has had any dealings with this guy?
I am not really interested in the legality debate as it always seems to go around in circles. I was just interested in any history of the seller.

The confusion may have come from the CFSC manual. Under prohibited ammunition, it describes ammo designed to set fire on impact. So incendiaries would be prohib, tracers not.

Made worse by the fact that I saw a student with a printed-out version of the 2014 manual that had different text on that page - it actually did say Tracer. But I have seen nothing else anywhere saying that it is prohib, so that one version of the manual is likely wrong.
