Track id, maybe it’s the Easter bunny!?!

Last trip out hare hunting I found these tracks, approximately 24” to 30” or so in length. I was looking through an animal track book I have and nothing similar of that size was in it, my guess was black bear or maybe lynx bounding as I always see cat tracks where hare tracks are and I’ve seen bear tracks in the general area. Maybe it’s the Easter bunny coming to visit? ;)

Can anyone shed some light on it, what do you all think made them, I outlined in red the snowshoe hare tracks in the one picture so you can get an idea of size better.

On a side note I’m getting excited as always for the fall grouse hunts, lots of action along the roads everywhere I’ve been so far. Cocks are out strutting their stuff, looks like it’s going to be another banger of a season in the area.

That area looks pretty squatchie to me....

My buddy said it looked like ostrich tracks, each print looks like a big bird print lol.

Otter? Weasel?

I was up in the mountains so no otters, plus otters have a tail register in their tracks. All the weasel, marten etc tracks are two paws in line with each other so not any of them. The mice and other rodents look similar but the size of the tracks is 24” or more in length, as long as my snowshoe almost. Whatever made it is med to large animal size.

They make different prints from hopping and running.
We had a wild Bugsy here last winter and the snow prints showed both
per your photo

I agree that they have a similar pattern to a rabbit track but have you ever seen a three foot tall rabbit Looky? Cause that’s how big those prints are, they’re 2 feet or more in length from front to back and each oval is about 6”x9”. Maybe it was the Easter bunny!

They are old so they could have easily started out half that size
