I am also really interested in getting one of these. I'd like to hold one before I buy it though. At the very least a good video review would be nice to see before I commit. Anyone have one to share??
Thanks for chiming in, I gave it a week to think it over.
I just decided on buying this, as it looks awesome... so I am hoping for the best. I bought a 1919 match in the past from you guys and it was great... but had to sell it for school last year... seriously unfortunate, and I really liked that gun.
Now if all goes well with this one, I will do a review on our youtube channel later since no one else has done it yet.
Thanks again for the honest input, it was greatly appreciated and a deciding factor.
Update well I received it in the mail apon opening I noticed that it is a well built shotgun and not overly heavy. So I grabbed a box of 7.5 shot off the shelf and took it to the pit and put 25 through it. It functions flawlessly no problems at all . Overall good purchase for the price.
I picked one up when they were first introduced by Tactical Imports. Fantastic little shottie. Used it for deer last season (3d printed magazine limiter) and really liked the size. I dropped a Burris FF3 on top of it with the AR-F3 mount and it was perfect for the area we hunt in. My only issues are minor... the charging handle is much to small / narrow, but I have ordered a larger one from T.I. that should arrive shortly. Second, I would like more detailed disassembly instructions in the supplied manual.
I've had mine for a few weeks and so far very impressed with it. It cycles light target loads and everything else I've fed it - 100% reliable. Accepts Mobil chokes and comes with 3 chokes and the removal tool.
It punches well above its price but I do have some minor gripes:
- non-reciprocating charging mechanism is quite stiff and binds more often when the parts are cold - hoping as it wears in it will loosen up
- field stripping while not excessively complex, is not as simple as my M4. Detaching the barrel from the receiver requires some brute force to get them separated
- being a bullpup, it doesn't shoulder as effortlessly as my M4 with the field stock. You need to sometimes reposition it to get a proper sight picture but I'm sure with more practice it will get better.
- magazines are solid and should last the test of time - the 5 rounders are bulky and stick out quite a bit but they are easier to load than the 2 rounders.
Overall a very nice shotgun, good quality and great value.
