Tracking Lineage?

Hi, I recently ran into a situation where it was claimed that a shotgun was, "put together by TacOrd". I figured that that's a pretty easy claim to make, but tough to verify. Do you guys keep records on guns you build, serial #'s and such?

The way I see it, as you do more and more work, and great work at that, this kind of thing is likely to come up as guns are resold.

Let me know, as this may influence my decision on a deal.
