Traded into my first Vortex riflescope...a 4-12 Diamondback.

Looking forward to giving it a try on a 300 Win Mag. Hope they are half as good as the advertising!

How about those of you who have one....good, gooder, or golly whiz great? Handle recoil of a 300 okay? I know the warranty is new replacement, but that doesn't help much two days boat down the river.

Decent glass for the money and a great no fault warranty but if you have the dough, step up to a sightron or nightforce

I have a Diamondback HP 4-12x44..its on my 17 HMR......don't expect much. Id never buy another. Extremely finicky eyebox. They do have side parallax on the HP models.

Extremely finicky eyebox.

The 2-7x regular diamondback I had was bad for that. I replaced it with a leupold vx1 3-9x - seems much more forgiving and I have no plans for replacing it.

Interesting thread as I'm in the market for a decent scope for hunting moose with my .308. I've been looking at diamondback and the vx1.

Seems no scope is perfect.

Fine duplex reticles are fine in the VX2 series.
Decent scope for the muhnies.
