Tradex BRNO ZKH -300 in 22 savage high power

I have one, but mine is a ZH-304, 7x57R/12ga. and with the purpose or use I have for mine, I've never tried a scope on it. Checking the mount set-up and possibly the scope itself is a good place to start. The Hi-Power, as you've mentioned, uses a 0.227"-0.228" bullet VS what most 22 cal centerfires use, 0.224". To be sure, check and varify yours are actually 0.227". 0.001" may make some difference but I don't know if that would be enough to really spread open your group. What accuracy are you presently getting?

I recently came across an article on this calibre and the upshot was it is known to be very frustrating in the accuracy dept. If I find the article/link I will post it.

Some writers even got good grouping with heavy/short ogive .224 bullets. If one could find a smith to rebore to 30-30 would be more useful IMO........Harold
