tradex has a large selection of Schultz and Larson .22s now

I had bought 3 of them when they had them a few years years ago....very impressive rifles. Just added a 4th...lol
There is a fellow on eBay that makes custom rear sight disks...I had to send him one to copy the threads but he made me up a bunch. Front takes standard anschutz inserts.

This was my first I bought.

Laser beams, but no DT. Receiver is round and can be d&t for weaver bases easy. I bought one from them cheap that had a ringed barrel and had it chopped and d&t

I caved and bough this one:

I have a soft spot for these old school heavy target rifles. I really like the front sight bases on the one version, press fit on there. These have extractors but no ejector.....gotta use your fingers to pluck the spent case out. No grooves, rear peep is side mounted.

The new one I scored.

Just received this one from tradeex. The bluing is a bit thin between the forearm and front sight. The walnut stock only has a couple of minor marks. Overall, not bad for $269.00. As soon as more snow disappears I will head out to see how it shoots.

Got my new to me Shultx & Larsen yesterday, from Tradex as well. What a great gun to shoot! Two stage trigger, really nice! The gun itself is heavy as all get out, but nice to shoot. First few were left handed, as my glasses were in the car, but switched back to normal when the car came home. Never shot with aperture sights before, those bullseyes are pretty small even at 50 yds. I only tried it at 50 yds so far. The sights adjusted nicely and precisely, 1/4 MOA per click. On the targets, I kept loosing track of which target I was shooting, hence the 3 in one target and 7 in another. Used Eley practice ammo and a rest, only slight wind. I really like this gun.

Exactly! I was seeing a small dot, and trying to center it, far easier to center a bigger circle. I printed off a couple of the CGN Postal match 50 yd target, they're a lot bigger so we'll see how that works. Thanks!

Down under "sighting" it shows a typical sight picture. I personally prefer a larger black circle with just a very thin ring of white visible around it, but that's personal preference
