So what's the deal with Tradex? Where do they get all their rifles and shotguns?

Anyone dealt with them and if was the gun condition as advertised? I'm lookinf for a 30-06 and they have a lot of Husqvarnas (1600 model ) on their web site.

Thanks

Tradeex is a great company..you pay they ship, don't be afraid to ask for
pictures and ask questions if you wish.If I needed a rifle in a pinch and couldn't find one on the EE I would go to them. Most of the firearms they have are from Sweden. This country has a 4 or 6 gun limit per household so
any extra firearms have to be turned in , Tradeex has them shipped here.

They seem to get most of their stock from Europe. Wayne37's explanation about Sweden sounds plausible. I haven't dealt with them yet, but their reputation amongst Gunnutz is excellent. I won't hesitate to buy from them if I see something there that I want. Husquvarna made (still makes?) guns well. Those are classic hunting rifles that probably have at least your lifetime worth of use left in them. Get one.

The Sporting Arms come from Sweden. The Mil-Surps come from different parts of the world. Husqvarna has not made a rifle since 1970. Their guns were meant to endure, and they do.

I've lost count of how many times I've bought from them. Never was disappointed even once. Always surprised at the condition being better than described. I'd say they severly underrate the guns in my experiences. Just ask for pics, and Anthony will send them.

Trade-ex

As WOODBEEF says, Trade-ex seems to be very conservative when they rate the condition of their guns. You get a much better one than you expect.

A lot of these other dealers could take lessons from Trade-ex when it comes to Service. I too, have bought a lot of guns from them, and have never been disappointed with the condition of them. The prices are very reasonable.

You can phone them and ask them to e-mail you pictures of a rifle you are interested in, and they will do it. Some good buys there if you know what you want.

There is a link at the top of the page. They are a gun nuts sponsor. Great company to deal with and their Husky rifles are really good.

I actually have bought two rifles from them, indirectly through my local gun shop, as they sell to other dealers too. I was able to trade stuff at the local shop and they ordered what I wanted from Tradex.

I have also bought a few things direct from them and would not hesitate to do so again. I actually have to stay off their page cause it gives me the "wants" :)

I recently bought a M/N 91/30 octagon receiver from them. I phoned them, told them what I wanted, got exactly what I asked for but in better condition than I expected. I was totally satisfied with the experience. Excellent job of packaging, too!

I bought a used Choate stock from them for my 6.5x55-but the wrist bolt from my existing stock was too long, and being hardened steel, couldn't be readily cut and rethreaded,so Anthony contacted a gunsmith friend who sent me the right length bolt...for no charge. Now THATS customer service above and beyond, and why I recommend them ......besides-where else can you get a top quality hunting rifle like a Husky 6.5x55 for under $250?Spend a couple of hours on the stock steaming out ''handling marks'' and refinishing and you have a deer hunting rifle that rivals anything on the market today for several times the price...

I bought a 9.3 x 62 mauser from them. I am very happy with the gun and the service.
I'm looking forward to buying another mauser from them in the near future.

Its sad that only a few places(large or small) in Canada give such awesome service. I find the only time I get great service is when I deal with people in the States. Retailers here in Canada need to Wake up.

Good on Anthony for being one of the good guys, and solving your problems. The little time he took to help you out will be payed back ten fold from your word of mouth.

They are a two-man operation. The front end is the son and the back room is the father. He has years and years of gun business experience with another company. There is no need to pick at that scab. Byegones are byegones.

From a conversation the father and I had at the Eganville Gunshow, yes those guns come from Sweden. He has an agent who is well known and respected there, and yes he gets them because there is a possession limit for Swedes.

as everyone before on this thread has said....Tradex.....father and son...you won't find any better or get any better.....if they had more to offer inre: new products Tradex would be the only one i would deal with....you'll never go wrong dealing with Anthony....
