Tradex Lakelander TAP 375 7mm Rem Mag

I picked this up last week out of tradex. A Swedish built Lakelander TAP 375 in 7mm Rem Mag. Was very dusty but cleaned up real nice. Im not sure it had ever been shot before as there is no real wear on it.
Great bluing, nice iron sights, incredible trigger, nice walnut and a 14" LOP. I scoped it and shot three different loads through it last night with RL 22. 140 Sierra, 140 Berger and 162 Hornady BTSP. All shot pretty well.

Nice looking rifle. I had one in 308 Win and it was a tack driver. I still regret selling it.

Nice rifle, what is the advantage to having the scope mounted like that?

The ejected brass would hit the turret cap and not always clear the receiver. Rotating the scope 90 degrees fixed that. Or I could have mounted it higher.

Nice Swedish Lakelander. Sometimes you can really do well with Tradeex. I got one of my best rifles from them. Other times...my worst. The best I will keep to myself, but the worst had a painted stock that after I stripped the paint off I found was half made from Plaster of Paris. Crazy. Who does that?

Apparently the action is a push feed, 9 lug, short throw design with an internal rotary magazine that discharges itself through the top of the magazine at the push of a button? Very nice indeed.
