Traditions yukon .50 inline

Terrible.

When I worked for a sporting goods store that sold these rifles, I would try and talk the customers I liked not to but these rifles. Shoddy workmanship, cheap materials. But they are dirt cheap.
 
I own a traditions .50 flintlock, a fine rifle in walnut and brass. It's as reliable as a methodist preacher, but it's hard to praise it in public. There's ALOT of prejudice against the traditions brand. To hear some people talk, I'd be better off with a slingshot and a bag of gravel.

It's unfortunate, because like practically all firearms made in the modern era in modern facilities, they are safe, reliable, sturdy, and by historic standards, wickedly accurate.

If you're looking to hunt in ML season in your area, and you are acting like a sane person (taking good shots, at practical distances, after practicing for at least one afternoon with your rifle)......there just isn't ANY major brand which will let you down.

Especially an inline.

Go ahead and buy your Trad. Inline, and you'll be getting a "Toyota Corolla" no snob appeal whatsoever, but good value for your dollar.:cheers:
 
Thanks. I been hunting with a Knight for the past 8 yrs. I looking for a .50 inline for my grandson who wouldn't get much shooting time with it, like maybe just a couple of times in deer season.

They are definitely a lower end muzzleloader but they will get the job done.....would I buy one...no....but I'd never tell anyone not to. The price definitely reflects their quality.
 
They work cheap way to see if you want to get into Muzzel loading a stepping stone to a better rig

So, apparently at least 9 (out of the first 9) reviewers I could find really like it, and every review finds it to be a very accurate firearm.
 
I have a Traditions Pursuit LT (50 cal,209 primer) inline. Bought it as my first "entry level" BP rifle. The complete starter package was around $280.00 Instead if the Yukon you may want to look at the Pursuit line instead. Price is a few dollars more but easier to shoot, clean etc. A few guys at our range have Yukons, but after trying mine they are looking to "upgade" a bit. You don't have to spend $500.00 + to get into the BP fun. Yes Knights and TC's are better in quality from what I have seen, but I am happy with my choice. I bought a Traditions Hawken 50 cal percussion a few months later...happy again, and Traditions customer service were very helpful when I first started out.
