I am in the market for a trail cam, looking to spend around $200-$250, but holy s**t are there a lot of choices out there! As I have never owned or operated one, I was kinda hoping to get a few recommendations from those who know...

If you have a particular make/model that you really like, please tell me why :)

Thanks!

Moutltire D-55 and Bushnell Trophy cam have worked well form me, the Moultire is the better for its battery life.

What ever one you pick make sure it uses C-size (x6) or AA-size batteries or you will be spending alot on batteries. And buy two cards so you can leave your camera in the field and just swap cards when you check it.

D55IR and Bushnell Trophy for me as well

bushnell trophy XLT, battery life is almost a year, awesome quality pics. The money you save in batteries alone is worth it. SOme people seem to have problems with them, others think they are great. I'm going to buy a couple very soon.

Ive had a bunch of them and have to say that I like the Spy Points. The 6 or 8 mg are great and very easy to run. On - Off thats all and are very small so they don't stick out like the larger units. I own a 12 Mg too and don't find it any better in quality then the 6mg...
