training 303

yep idk i'll take a pic i dont think thay will let me into the invtory but we will see :)

the person i know is in charge of cleaning the weapons and storing them

thay do want to up grade a bit so there getting rid of some of the no. 7 enfields i'll see if i could buy one

Why buy just one? Buy as many as they will sell you. Someone on this board will want them. Be sure and post a photo of your new rifles in this thread next to the photos of the cadet C7 or C10s.

Photos of the MP40, Canadian marked Mk. IV Martini Henry, JACO derringer, etc. would be interesting.;)

Maybe if you bring your mommy or daddy, or some other grown up with you, they will let you take some photos.

I am making the assumption that you are younger based on your lack of knowledge on these firearms, the DND policies wrt firearms, your changing story, and your atrocious spelling. If I am wrong in this evaluation please accept my apologies.

Rather than wait for camerl2009's photos, it would be easy enough to just call the Cadet Corps' office and ask.
Summer having arrived, regular training nights will likely be cancelled, but staff will be busy with cadets going away to summer camps, and should be available.
Windsor's 1086 Walkerville Cadet Corps is based at the Windsor Armoury.

The demand for No. 7 rifles exceeds supply.

Considering that for many ex-cadets, the No. 7 is the first rifle they will hold and fire, and considering the sheer number of cadet alumni, which must number in the hundreds of thousands at the very least, it would be very hard for that to not be the case.

Well at Least I have both the Brit and the Canadian No7's and even a number 8.:D

WITH the transit cases for the 7's

Wonder when the last No7 was used in a drive-by?

It is a shame that the No. 7 rifles cannot be sold, and the money put into the cadet program.

You know, I've run across a number of posts where people begrudge AIA for the price of their new .308 Enfields, but had they made them new No.7's instead...

I notice that prices for No.7's on the EE regularly match 7.62mm DCRA rifles with the Parker Hale sights, and are easily double the price of more pedestrian samples of the SMLE or No.4

first off i have a learning disability so i cant spell too good

and i know for a fact thay have these rifles as im a ex cadet from this vary place only reason im not in the army today is i dont see in fighting for a middle eastern country i want to fight for my own

ive shot the no.7's many times on the indoor range the semi auto c7 look a likes (thats what im gong to call them) are only shot on a outdoor range i forget where now and there in .223/5.56(checked with some one i know that works there)

not going to fight for a middle eastern country? man oh man thats rich lol. every conflict any army has been involved in is politicaly generated. some better causes then others. but being a soldier is more then conflict. it is repaying a dept to your country. not being selfish and doing something. fighting fires, helping in floods ect. in canada and abroad. every time i hear something uttered like that i think of john f. kennedy's speach (para phrasing) "ask not what your country can do for you, but rather what you can do for your country".

pro patria

p.s. thanks everyone for the input special badgerdog. great info. some how i thought these would have been replaced by now and in the market for sale. obviously we can't be trusted with .22 bolt either (ref-fn's, old c7's) of course we can give a 1000 or so c7's to the afgans witch i suspect will be on the black market asap after nato leaves lol. sorry the fella above got me on a rant.

Anybody interested in putting his hand in the air and signing up doesn't get to vote on who he would like to fight for or against or where he might be prepared to do this. Military service is unconditional. You go where and when you are told and do what you are told to do. Otherwise stay away and don't waste the time it takes to train you and then fire your a$$ out - provided you can make the grade in the first place. Soldiers leave the politics to the politicians to sort out.

There's a couple for sale in the EE, but if you're looking for the No.4 style, you're going to have to part with a lot of money. I don't know whereabouts you're located, but I do know that here in Ontario about 500 of the cadet training rifles were transported to the Stelco furnaces under heavy guard and chucked right into the smelters. Those self-styled protectors of the public good just couldn't possibly sell these to responsible collectors as they'd be seen as selling weapons. There was also the fear that they may wind up in the hands of the criminal element. We all know how the gangbangers are lusting to get their hands on a 4', eleven pound, single shot .22. As I said, they're around, but few and far between and pretty pricey.

Gah! This really pisses me off. At the very least they could have gone to the Canadian Rangers as training rifles! If you're not a shooter then starting off with a 303 Brit is a little intimidating and there's been times out on the raage where I wish we had 22 trainers as an option for basic marksmanship.

I too am an ex-cadet who was very active shooting the C#7. I finially bought one last month. It came with a Parker hale 5C sight.

I would like to change it back to the proper adjustable rear sight that we used in cadets. I have no idea where to find one.

What pisses me off is that when i was in the air force our parts bin had all the bits to assemble a complete rear sight. I helped myself to 2. One went on my #4 sporter and I gave the other away. Hindsight can be painful.
