I shoot my crossman 1377 in my basement yesterday and i ask myself if it was a good starting point for basic accuracy with pistol or i should get a 22lr pistol (impossible right now for lack of funds) and practice at the range??

While the Crossman 1377 isn't a great air pistol, it's a good starter gun and you are on the right track. Airguns may not be looked upon as 'real' guns by many shooters, but you are still getting good practice. You're learning to align the sights and release the trigger without disturbing the sight alignment, and that is the basics of good shooting. The cost for your practice will also be very low with pellets compared to .22 ammunition. I would say keep practicing in your basement! :)

When I was growing up we did the same thing in a friend's basement.
Un modified 1377 with about 7-10 pump's.
At 30 feet I could hit a 22 case 8-9 out of 10 shot's.
Just don't fire bb's in a concrete basement without a soft backstop......

thanks for the advice guys now i feel im not wasting my time

zuke: yeah i broke a window last month so i made a pellet catcher, no more problem
