Hallo i just got myh110 and it came in a plastic bag in a carbord box can i i pour it in a clear plastique Bucket thank you for your input it appreciated

Post in WTB reloading section for anyone who has an empty powder bottle that you can hopefully pick up locally. Powder bottles are HDPE (High Density Polyethylene). Black and opaque container keeps the sun/light off the powder.

Strange post for a boolit casting forum?

I got some HP-38 that came in a cardboard box and plastic bag. Going to dump it into my empty 4# W231 bottles when the time comes.

Thanks. For info and sorry for whrong spot for the post i saw after it was gone using a phone i did started in reloading

Don't use a clear container. Ultra violet light can damage the powder. There is a reason it is in opaque containers. Why move it from the card box box and plastic bag? I have used those for years. Simply scoop out what you need into your powder measure.

Just curious as to what the issue is with leaving it as it is? It's good enough for the distributor to store it like that and ship it like that. We always tell our PAL/RPAL classes that they should keep their ammo and reloading components in the packaging it's shipped in. If it's just that you don't like it in the box, then as suggested, some old powder containers (properly labelled with what you're putting in it) should be easy to accumulate simply by asking around.
