Yup. Remember when you could just walk into a store, show the kid at the sports desk your pal and they go unlock the ammo case for you? Didnt need to go on a computer or call in your pal to verify because the guy looked at your card.

Oh wait, that still happens in every canadian tire store ive been to. Clearly mass shootings with illegal ammo is going to skyrocket because those kids arent following proto.

Remember when you could go into a sports store when you were fifteen and tell the gentleman behind the counter you would like to purchase the Wingmaster in the window for $99.95 and he let you pay for it weekly from your paper route money. I sure can.

Can Tire used to have the guns in the open with a single cable running through the entire line of trigger guards. You could get a close up look at the display guns, and picked ammo off the shelf yourself.

Real gun stores would often have used long guns in the open for customers to pick up to get a good look.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that things were always the way and it is now and that the world would end if it was different.

My point is that they still just look at your card and then open the glass door for you to buy ammo.

If it's safe enough for a store than why are we expected to phone it in/submit it on the webpage on a private sale?

Was at bass pro the other day as they were getting ready to close. The guys at the gun counter have to move every gun from the display rack and place them on a rack thats on a trolley and wheel them to a back room. It’s ridiculous! Every morning and every night, those guns get taken for a walk. We’re not talking about a couple dozen guns either. There has to be over 100 guns on display that go back and forth twice a day.

Great story, how does that help the OP?

Great story. The OP was asking about selling a shotgun.
