I have a question on transport an handgun to shooting range. With all documents (ATT, etc), I know hard case with lock + trigger lock is good enough for car transportation. However, is it legal to put the hard case with lock + trigger lock in a backpack and take bus to the range?

I think that would depend on the province/city/transport company.

For example in Quebec Bill 9 states
This bill prohibits the possession of firearms in the buildings
and on the grounds of childcare facilities and educational institutions
and in conveyances used for public transportation and school
transportation. By government regulation, any other institution may
be added to those listed in the bill.

In Toronto on the TTC
3.33 No person, unless authorized, shall enter or remain on any TTC property that is in possession of:

(a) a firearm, air gun, air rifle, pellet gun, pellet rifle, gas charged gun, gas charged rifle, imitation firearm, an offensive weapon or a prohibited weapon; or

4.2 Any person who contravenes any provision of this by-law is guilty of an offence and upon conviction is liable to a fine as provided for in the Provincial Offences Act.

So it really depends on the specifics of the situation.
