Hi,

I live in downtown Vancouver and currently my only method of transport to the range with my Restricted guns is via motorcycle. Currently the Canadian Gun Laws aren't really specific about transportation on a motorcycle.... Does any one have any thoughts/experience on this???

I transport handguns on my Harley but it has the hard lockable saddlebags and trunk which I think provides as much security as a locked car trunk or back seat if you have a truck. I don't know how it would be with soft saddle bags. I have read the laws and believe that I am in compliance ( and an OPP friend agrees) when I transport this way. Of course, they are transported in a locked box as well.

Or you could mount a lockable hard case on the bike, just to be sure. A friend of mine did this for his Enduro, and yes I know an Enduro is something different.

Lol, I gonna carry my SKS on my back on sky train, cause I don't own a car, or bike.

SkyTrain is NOT an acceptable method of transporting ANY firearm! If they see you, you will be ticketed, and asked not to use public transit with a weapon. I think they may even be able to seize your rifle!

Tread carefully!!!

being a public service, paid for by the general public for use by the general public, how can they make policies that discriminate as to what someone may bring with them as long as it meet the legal requirements ?
