Transporting a scope from the US

Fewer and fewer will ship as most are now aware of ITAR and what happened to Cabelas.

Edit: I see it not a blanket permit; I will have to get someone in the US for me to put in "exporters" section. I'll phone a friend and see what happens.

Perfectly legal to transport scopes from US to Can provided you have the US export permit.

I'm waiting for an eBay seller to get the permit prior to shipping my scope.

So the seller must be a gun store or sporting goods store? Just curious.

An individual isn't likely going to be willing to get any kind of export permit. Before they can get an individual export permit for a specific shipment, they have to have the annual licence, which costs just under $3k a year.
