Trap at 92 year old

What a legend! I bet it does his mental cognition well to have a social routine and hobby with a community behind it, like shooting Trap, to help keep him so sharp! I'd bet he has a rich social life too.

We had my buddies 80 year old father out this weekend at the range. Guy hit the 6" gong at 200y first shot with my Sig Cross (that he's never fired or seen before) and he also hit the same gong with a Crypto (5.56) and Eotech/Magnifer combo repeatedly.

It's cool to keep the older shooters engaged and important to get time shooting with them while we can!

It has been about a year, since our oldest skeet shooter passed away. He also was 92, and came out regularly to shoot, but his average was not that high, as he had issues picking up some skeet targets. His name was Harvey Trace, some of you might be aware of Trace Scope repairs which Harvey started to handle warranty repairs for companies like Burris and others. His son in law still runs the company, and does scope repairs . A few years earlier Ken Smith passed at 91, Ken was a very competitive trap and sporting clays shooter, and was well known in Alberta. A current member and former skeet chair turned 90 last winter, and still shoots with us regularly.

I shot with Ken a lot in the early days of Sporting. Sorry to hear he passed. But at 91, he had a good run.

When and if I hot 90 I will be glad if I can walk without a cane!
That is amazing.
I just watched a video clip of Carol Kaye, the legendary bass player for the Wrecking Crew who turned 90 March 24th.
She looks nowhere near 90, has all her faculties and can still expertly lay down a bass riff - amazing!
