Hey all,

I am getting better at shooting and I am running 23-25 consetenly. I was wondering if there was compitions for minors?

Thanks,

Crick

Your shooting may be getting better but your spelling is horrible!! Large trap shoots in Can. and the USA have special classes for junior and subjuniors, note also that in some provinces you compete for free(birds)....it is funded by the provincial; asso. for juniors!! Any olympic type comp. is a diff. story as they are shooting Int. trap....A diff. type of trap shooting! I can explain if you req.

Cricket.....almost all registered shoots have a class for youths. Sub junior is under 15 and Junior is 16-under 19. At most of the shoots I attend with my 13 yr old son he shoots for half price. At some of the major shoots like our Provincial champs he shoot all 400 championships targets for free. Some shoots he even gets his shells suppied.
Those scores are decent scores but remember that at a proper shoot you'll be shoot between 200 and 300 targets a day depending if you shoot doubles or not. Scores in your class wil typicaly run between 93-98 out of 100 in all events (in Ontario anyway). This weekend we are going to a shoot that is 200 16yr targets on day one and 100 16yrd, 100 handicap and 100 doubles on day two. What province are you in?

Good shootin'
Tim

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the help, I am in BC. I would like for someone to explain olympic trap to me. That would be great. I am going to attend some pita shoots with a couple of the guys from our club this year. So I am excited for that. And for my spelling school has not started yet so I was just getting my mistakes out of me before they are worth anything.

Cheers,

Crick.

Olympic trap is shot 15m back from a bunker and 5 shooters are lined up str. as opposed to semi circle. Each pos. has 3 trap machines(hidden in bunker) to throw birds, much faster and more random then reg. trap, but you can take 2 shots at 1 bird!
